Initially it started functioning in the rented building at Settlement Road, Karimganj and on 28.6.2007 the Vidyalaya was shifted in its permanent building at Nilmani road, Karimganj . K V Karimganj is situated in the heart of the city in the small expanse of 1.54 acres.
